Just wanted to say that I found a deal on at Dress Circle (Monmouth Street, Covent Garden) a few weeks ago on a selection of musical soundtracks, 2 for £5.00. That's how I managed to get the Original Broadway Cast Recordings of both Oliver! and West Side Story. They are both BRILLIANT recordings with fantastic casts and it's forced me to realise just how amazing both shows are in terms of their music really being pivotal in the making of contemporary musical theatre classics. Both are worth listening to, so I just thought I'd bring my thoughts on them to your attention!
Also, I'm pretty much certainly going to see Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre in London this summer. It's always struck me as strange that I've never seen it (besides, of course, the 25th Anniv. Royal Albert Hall staging on DVD) and yet I'm such a massive fan of most shows that fall under the category of musical theatre. I'm so excited and I'll post a full review after I've been.

Les Mis @ The Queen's Theatre - Review: 22.2.12
I didn't know it was possible for a show to get better every single time you see it
But that's what Les Miserables has managed to do all 5 times I've seen it. It just gets more and more genius and stunning. We went to the 2.30 matinee performance today (Wednesday 22nd February, 2012) at the Queen's Theatre, London and were, at first, taken aback by the vast number of understudies listed on the board in the foyer. However, it turned out that they were all mistakes and every single cast member was present for the performance. I'll now go through the cast and tell you what I thought of each actor individually

Review: Rock of Ages @ The Shaftesbury Theatre
Saturday 7th January, 2012
7.1.12
Seats: E22 in the 'Royal Circle' (Dress Circle in most other theatres). Excellent, central view of the stage with the steeply sloping seats eliminated the possibility of someone tall sitting in front of you and obstructing your view. The auditorium of the theatre looked magnificent (and very different to how it looked when I went to see Hairspray at the Shaftesbury a few years ago). It was made up to look like the Sunset Strip, LA, in the mid-1980s with rock gig posters, faux traffic lights, huge billboards and flashing neon signs. A nice touch was that everyone in the audience was given a plastic, battery-
